Has there been a MASSIVE police hiring frenzy?

It used to be I could go 6 months without even seeing a cop on the road. Starting about 4-5 months ago, I started seeing more and more cops. Now its so bad that I cant make 1 trip to work without seeing at least 5 cops, (sometimes more than 10) and in the past week, Ive been followed by about 6 cops, one of them gave me a ticket. They are EVERYWHERE now. Its seriously starting to look like a police state, at least where I live and work. Has there been some hiring frenzy lately? Every time I merge onto a new street or freeway, some cop will perfectly merge onto the same road or freeway, right behind me. Its really starting to freak me out cause the odds are so high of this happening over and over and over again, every day.

They're onto you. You don't spend alot of time in political forums, do you? You'd better starting riding a bike, grow a mustache, or shave one off, dye your hair, and walk with a limp. Try some shades too.

its california you know that they screw us every way they can to make more money off of us and still cry poverty, id rather deal with a criminal than a politician at least with a criminal you know what to expect!LOL

anyone know whats required to be a highway cop? I was sure good @ out running them, what would it take to become one? Last time i checked was right after i grad. high school like 6 years ago, 2000. They said there was a 3 year waiting list! Is that true still?

LOL paranoia has nothing to do with it. Im not doing anything wrong...unless you count the expired tags, no front plate, tinted windows, flame thrower in the back seat, bazooka in the trunk, Jimmy Hoffa's skull for a shifter knob..etc. Its just nerve racking when you constantly seem to have a cop on your tail. This morning I had a motorcycle cop behind me. At lunch, 30 miles away, I had another motorcycle cop behind me. Last night on the way home, I had a cop behind me. Yesterday morning, I had a cop behind me. The day before that, a cop behind me. 2 days before that...you get the idea. This isnt counting the dozen cops I pass on the highway every day. Like I said, I used to go months without even seeing one. Now I cant look in any direction without seeing 100 of them. Several family members mentioned it out of the blue, as well as someone I work with. Maybe its just limited to the ghetto I live in.

umm yah what the hell is going on last night from Yorba Linda to Orange and back I saw 20 cops....

bond street shooting. The entire bond street was closed and prospect to champan from bond was also closed. And "i dun no nuthin" as the slang term goes. It sucked cops were everywhere.
