I was trying to put in an aftermarket radio and accidently touched the power wire to a piece of metal getting a small zap. Well now my pwr windows, dome light, and radio power are not working. I checked all inside fuses as well as high current ones underhood. I also checked all of my relays with no luck either. Anyone have any ideas, its an 06 e250. Thanks a bunch hopefully i can get this fixed by monday for work:(

Note to self: Always disconnect the battery before working on the electrical system. Might even be a good Idea to disconnect before working on the vehicle.

Back to reality, time to check the circuits with a meter. Might have fried the switches. Very hard to get the magic smoke back in once you let it out.

HOW did you check the fuses? If you eyeballed them, then you really didn't test them. Use a test light or volt meter. Don't ask me how I know this.:D

I checked the fuses about 7 times and i did use a light tester. The fuses that didnt light up 3 of them, i cheanged out for new ones then but because of what happened they are not functioning. Im guessing that its a fusible link wich sucks cause they are by the battery and they are tied tightly together and ran down tight as a drum. Gotta love it they call it Dennis's law:eek:

Well today i spent the afternoon going through the engine bay looking for fusible links. Found them and checked them all with a light tester and no luck they are all good. Now im really stumped i thought for sure that was it. I still have no powe to the fuse sockets for the dome lights, windows, and radio. Any ideas.
