Could someone take a picture of the factory head bolts and a picture of a set of 6 point ARP head bolts and post them up for me. Need to see if mine are factory or not.

Factory bolts have a deep stamped SPS on them. ARPs have light stamping on them. Nothing wrong with SPS bolts, either. SPS is an aerospace supplier. I have yet to see an ARP bolt in commercial aviation. Maybe they do, though.
I was always told the factory bolts were TTY bolts and had to be replaced whenever they come out. So I always put in ARP. Have I been lead down the wrong path?

Seems like a lot of other things that are a "debate". I guess I will stick to what I believe is safest for me...... Replace em with ARP. Now who wants to have the head gasket debate.... 9441, 1000, cometics, etc. etc.
Yes they "can" be reused. There was a service bullitin years ago. I have reused them but use ARP bolts/studs for anything but a completely stock rebuild. Can't remember the last stock build I did though. I would reccommend ARP fasteners when installing heads. Rod bolts? Stock are more than adaquate. Same with stock main bolts. If you are using stock rods and main caps reuse the bolts. If you are using aftermarket rods they already have aftermarket bolts. Steel caps? Go with studs. Just my opinion.
Even though my present block build is going to be stock there are a few upgrades I made. ARP main studs, ARP head bolts, but stuck with the SPS (new) stock rod bolts as they are more than adequite even for a moderate build up.
