Looks like cermachrome, keep them clean and polished and they will last you
quite a while. Looks good.

Beautiful!!!!!!!!! I wish my 87GN headers looked anything like those.Skidman.

Most of the shinny coatings are polished to seal over (close) the pores.
If you spill or let things drip on them. it can stain them. A little 000 steel wool and it is gone or a little neverdull. Just depends on what coating they used.

But they look good

Thanks for the advice guys. The only other option was black which I'm told is more durable, but I at least want them to be silver. I don't drive hard, so hopefully they'll hold up.

Gees Richie. A few 8 second runs and they dulled out? Tell me about it. I don't have to worry about that. :D

here are mine i polished them before install and they yellowed after idle. the fitment was as good as gm

I was planning to polish mine, too. Along with the Richard Clark/Dennis Kirban stainless GNX exhaust system.:cool::cool:

Dang, those look sweet! Post some pics once the are installed too!

I just finished installing them today, Squid. When I get a chance I'll shoot some photos and post them here. Installation went smoothly with no hitches. The only problem I had was I didn't read the instructions and when I did I saw they want you to remove the starter heat shield. Hey, no problem, but I didn't disconnect the battery and I caused an electrical storm. :D But other than that, the passenger side is much more difficult than the driver side. The instructions suggested removing the downpipe, but I got away without having to remove it. I had some leaks in my old headers at the gasket plus the mandatory cracks. I can't believe I can now hear my engine. Sounds like a different car.

my camaros long tubes look like yours but my TA's i left them raw

yours look sweet

Real nice, John. Definately worth the cost and effort.

I like the advantages you stated.
