Sold my old atr headers and wanted to make my own. I have mounted the turbo to be forward/backwards. I will try to get a pic when the new engine is installed.

Very nice. Wished you'd have posted all of the making of them rather than just a pic of the almost finished product though.

What size primary tubes did you use? They appear to be larger than 1-1/2"?

I do have some cell phone pics. I will see how they look and post them if the pics are fair to good.

Yes they are. I know that you my have tested what works and what does not, but I used 1 5/8 od piping for mine. I am running a stroker 4.1 with a large bore, and with the c.i. I am not overly concerned with the size.

Drivers side header.

I mounted the turbo this way because I like the look of it. Plus it will open up the front of the engine. It was a P.I.T.A. with the up pipe, inlet pipe and upper rad hose fighting for room.

Nice work! I love it, thanks for posting up the build pics, it shows your skill for sure!

The set we made for my car last summer also has 1-5/8" primary tube. They work well, and I have the same size engine and turbo as yours.

Since the turbo sits further outboard when rotated facing forward, we made a steel bracket for support which bolts to the head and under the turbo flange.

The header flange is similar to the TA flange with a built-in support bar from cyls 2 and 4, and the flange is also stainless steel.

Especially using a distributor, it makes accessibility so much better with the turbo rotated! :)

Thanks for the pics Mizzi!

I had to look at the pics of the intake for a bit to grasp what you did. Very nice mods!
