Help! smoke coming thru vents. electrical problem

After my eletrical fan relay kept blowing, now im have trouble with my tail lights and dash lights for some reason.

Go to check the tail lamp fuse and its blew, replace it cut the light switch on and smoke comes through the vents?! Fuse blow again?

Have any one ran into this problem?

Check the dimmer wire near the Floor shifter sometimes it rubs against the shifter overtime and shorts out the Switch.

How do i get the center console up to get to it? plus would that cause it to smoke? I also found a wire thats getting real hot under the steering column!

Simple- Remove screws in the bottom of the storage tray and underneath ashtray. Also remove shifter handle. Comes right off. Might take five minutes as memory serves me. Brad

I had smoke come through my dash because I had blowby and had smoke coming out the valve cover breather and in through the column.

what color was the wire that was smoking?Does the car have like an aftermarket alarm,remote start etc?

Tracked down the wire that was hot and causing smoke. It was the brown wire that runs from the light switch, which controls the side markers. So i cut that wire for the time being. Does anyone have an idea what could cause that do get hot? so i can hook it back up and my side lights can be hooked back up!

wires only get hot like that when there is either a dead short somewhere or corroded connection somewhere along the line.. it's easy to pinch a wire off when installing things under the dash, so maybe check to see if any wires are pinched under brackets or anything like that.
