Got this '98 Honda Civic, my brother-in-laws car that I'm doing some minor repairs on so we can sell it.

Turn signals are behaving oddly, with one flashing real fast and the other not so fast. I figured it was the basic flasher problem, as experienced enough times in my own cars, but apparently this car doesn't have one. It does have a "hazard flasher", but not a "turn signal flasher".

Anyone know if the turn signals go through the hazard flasher and that is what I need to replace, or have any other ideas on the issue here?

Thanks

John

OMG a ricer question....

Do all the lights work? In some cars, a bad bulb will do that. Yes, it may use the hazard flasher as well. I would change it just for giggles, it should only be a few bucks.

I'll double check the lights, I thought they all worked, but could be wrong.

What's the status??

Yes, turn them on and do a lap around the car, for each light, even the hazards

I did find a bulb that looks partially burned out, it is having problems anyway. It gives a real weak light compared to the other side. Didn't have a chance to replace it this weekend though, but will soon. Hope that is all it is! Thanks for the help.

If you are getting a weak light, it is probably a bad connection somewhere. Check the grounds and socket connections etc.
