Maybe his finger got carry away by hitting an extra "0":asshat:

Not a typo. There's a thread from over a week ago. One of our guys called this guy. He's serious.....and likely on meds.

He'll be owning that one for a while at that price. You gotta love Craigslist.

It was my buddy who went and looked at it. The guy was dead serious. Argued that the miles were all original. Said the motor alone was worth over 5k. He also said that if it didn't sell he would let it sit for another 10 years because it would be worth more. My friend said the car is much worse than the pictures show. That's why I didn't go with him to look at it. I knew I would just get angry with the idiot.

I wonder if I drive mine to go see it if he will give me 40k or better for mine...hmmmmmmmm. Road trip !!!

Hell I'd be in Gardner this afternoon with a trailer and 1500 in crisp 100s if it was that cheap. Truthfully I'd probably give more than that for it but A: I'd feel guilty parting it out and B: it sounds like its not worth the time to make a realistic and serious offer on it. Oh and then there's C: wife's gonna get sick of this eventually especially when the last parts car is still here lol.

Imagine what it looks like under those t-tops. Needs to clean it up and market it better. If he leaves it out another ten years the floorboards will need replaced from the leaking t-tops. Looks straight needs lots of work. Maybe pull $4500 to the right buyer. Is predict another decade won't do it any favors if it remains outdoors.

Aside from needing:

-floors and pans
-new metal above pillars
-new hood
-new seals throughout
-75% of the interior replaced
-roughly $10,000 in body and paint, minimum
-roughly $5,000 in mechanical odds and ends
-4 new wheels and tires
-figure $3-5000 in miscellaneous crap that pops up

So if you put $20-30,000 into it, plus the original $15,000 to get it, you will have a car worth $20-30,000, solid investment!! Won't take but 20-30 more years to recoup that original $15,000 price tag, then it's all profit!!

I drove it after I got it but haven't had time or money to put into to it to get her up and running like she should be.....Is what he goes on to say, I'd like to know when he bought it and how much he paid for it then?

Imagine if that's the way it was when he bought it and he paid 15k for it!....sure sounds like it!:wacky:
