Hi Everyone!

Although I am not fortunate to have my own Grand National I am more than blessed to have a friend with the most amazing car I've ever cruised in, and of course that's a 1987 Grand National, named Black Beauty. I've learned alot of things about turbos, transmissions and friendship through them both.
So we have started discussing the possibility of driving cross country in Black Beauty and our own little 1991 Firebird as a side kick. We are planning on taking the Southern route from Florida to California, but we would like to have some tried and true mechanics along the way - just in case. We are basically planning on taking I-10 and then I-40 west and would appreciate any tips, info and most importantly, names and addresses of trusted/certified Buick/Grand National/Turbo mechanics along the way. And any cruisenights, auto shows or car meets along the way would be most welcome also.

Thanks so much! And hope to chat with you soon : )

Hello! Welcome to Turbobuick.com :) Great mechanic in the NYC area:
Otto at Home Page

I'm in Texas between DFW and Waco. A little far north for you but if you decide to come up this way I'd be more than happy to help you out.:)

Swing by Panama City on the way. There are a few of us here that do most of our own work

In AZ, Nick Micale @ Arizona GN.

Southern CA, Lou Czarnota @ Lou's Auto Service in Lake Forest.

Both are advertisers on this board.

Thanks everyone! That's a great start. She has been running perfectly, but sometimes she gets a bit temperamental. It will make us much more comfortable knowing there are experts close by. I will take a peek at advertisers on the board, too.

And huntsg - we may just take a cruise up to say "Hi!" and meet your GN - it looks gorgeous. We have family in Pensacola, but have never stopped by Panama City. I'm sure it's beautiful there!

if you can buy some of the more uncommon sensors that fail and are exclusive to the gn. working maf/ coil and module/cran sensor/ some fuses and some other miscleanous after all the car is 25 years old and things can unexpectantly break but it could take a parts store a couple days to get them. i would also make sure they gn has some theft deterrents since these cars are commonly stolen.
