Hood Emblem

I am getting a new 3.8SFITURBO for my hood. The 3 broke off and left a residue on hood bulge. I need some tips on removing existing piece. Also what should I use to attach replacement.

what worked for me

I've used an exacto knife to cut off old emblems leaving the glue
from the double sided tape on your paint. After trying several things
such as bug and tar remover this came off best using finger nails.
The replacements are self stick.

also i would recommend using masking tape to mark the edges so you know its in the correct location when you reinstall it

maybe a plastic putty knife
i know some guys use em to take emblems off other guys cars after spanking em (they work especially well on 5.0 and lil pony emblems)maybe thats just that theyre easier to win HAHAHA

Fishing line, piano wire or exacto knife will remove the emblems. WD40 works well to remove the glue without harming the paint.
