I just ordered my hooker cat back system from summit, and when I asked what kind of mufflers it comes with the guy told me edelbrock RPM series mufflers. Are these any good does anybody else have them? I though the kit came with aero chamber mufflers or something like that. Any input would be nice if anyone knows anything about these mufflers.

Thanks,
Nick

They are a straight-thru design
Quote from Edelbrock:

RPM Series Mufflers
These Edelbrock mufflers represent a revolutionary change in exhaust technology. The internal Tru-Flo® core utilizes equal-length runners made from 409 perforated stainless steel. A special high-temperature, ceramic material is packed between the outer case and the inner core. Exhaust passes through the core with minimal turbulence, unlike mufflers with baffles. The ceramic packing withstands temperatures of over 1800° F. The result is a muffler which runs quieter, is less restrictive and produces more power than other designs. All RPM Series mufflers have a limited lifetime warranty, are stock replacement parts and 50-state street legal. Testing verified that these mufflers ran quieter and produced more power than the competition. Our 3" center in/center out on a 1966 Shelby Mustang produced only 91 db. A competitor’s muffler on the same car measured 94 db. In dyno tests on a B/B Chevy, #5526 cranked out 14 ft/lbs. more torque at 5000 rpm than competitor’s 3" single offset muffler. See applications..."

I know a guy who has them on a 454 Chevy Malibu and not real loud but runs in the 11's..... Should be ok and stainless :)
