how big is our fuel tank? whats the most amont of fuel put into your car?

I drive my car 40 miles everyday and fill up once a week- i floor it usually once a day just to see if she still has it-

I think my gas gauge reads incorrectly, but for the better-
when on E i can only stuff 14 gallons into the cars tank, its the stock tank, no dents.
Ive heard of people putting in 20 gallons into their cars, just wondering what the REAL capacity is in our cars

How much do you put into your tank to top it off,what is your MPG?
mine was 15.5MPG beat a Z06 vette on the freeway, and stop and go traffic

'86 T-type owners manual says 18 gal.

17 mpg both cars.

Some city, some highway, some boost.

Most I ever put in it was 17 gallons after I limped downhill with the alky. kit on full.... sputtering into the Sunoco this winter.

Well i guess i will never run it out of fuel, 14 and it wont take anymore-

get a greaser kit and run that thing on wasted veggie oil
most ive put into my 2002 dodge cummins was 28 gallons and that hurts just thinking of filling it up!

just under 17 is the most i have ever put in to the GN, my old 79 chevy has 2 ~20gallon tanks, my new 98 chevy holds about 30 gallons. i really wish it had saddle tanks!

put 12.67 gallons in it and it gushed out twice-

i drove 220 miles and only got into it 5 or 6 full passes, the best mileage yet! 17+

I put 17 gallons in one time. It started running out about a mile from the gas station. I was keeping it running by swerving side to side to keep gas hitting the sock.

When I had the pump out last time, I bent the float rod just a little so it would run out at E and not 1/4 tank.
