It seems the looser the converter I use the more exagetrated my 2-3 flair is:mad:
I had a loose 9" n/l Pro Torque (3600-3800) that made the 2-3 shift terrible, I switched to a 2800-3000 Art Car 9" n/l and the flair is less noticeable but still there....what causes this? What does my tranny guy need to do to speed up the 2-3 shift. It seems as though2nd is released quickly and its taking too long for 3rd to grab. The tranny has the good frictions and steels, high pressure valves, Alto band, super servo, etc...

Do a search on dual feed in the trans section and you will find some good answers. Plan on putting in a billet shafted forward drum.

Ditto. I have a 3500 stall Vigilante and the 2-3 is about as hard as the 1-2. I do have a billet drum and dual feed. Would not do anything less than that with a 200.

I did a search for this in the tranny forum and got 1 find....didn't really tell me much about dual feed...more about boost valves. Can anyone shed some more light on this dual feed thing???

I got 66 different threads by trying the words "dual feed" in the advanced search. Basically your using both areas under the direct piston to apply the piston. Plugging one hole and removing the center sealing ring on the center support and removing the inner lip seal off the direct drum. The important things when doing this are the forward drum replacement and plugging the orifice to prevent back feeding of the direct apply circuit. Their are other fine tuning things involved with this that have been perfected in the last year. Call Chris at CK for some parts and he will gladly give you the latest specific instructions. Id grab a manual from him at his time also.
