The sad lives some of our GN's live, mine has only seen 20 min of sunlight in the past 14 months. I moved and the only parking is street or warehouse at work... and since I wont leave it outside over night warehouse it is. I love my car and wont risk losing it just to drive it for a day. The poor car has about an 1/8" of dust, and i had to move it today to get some shelves out from behind the car. I do start it once a week, change the oil every 6 months even though it doesnt get driven, i have had to replace the battery twice, and left some =========== in the parking lot before I put it a way




oh yeah front windshield is tinted

I love the car, looking to buy house by end of summer, so will have room for the car at home, currently doing a complete rebuild on my harley, and my 69Z which are both stored at diffrent friends homes. sold home to finance new business. PS got a whole bunch of goodies in trunk waiting to be installed...(Kenne bell 70mm TB, 30 over forged pistons, other goodies cousin worked for Kenne Bell....saving for heads and fmic)

mine only has 56K on it... plus always feels faster then the last time when its been a while since last drivin

+1 mine is driven daily also, the arizona sun beats up whats left of the paint, but who cares. even today at dinner as i walked in i got a "beautiful car man"

and thats with the super faded paint and a few spots of bird crap on the hood:biggrin:

Otherwise shes a DD that takes a 3 hour trip frequently

wow.....

.... i just drove mine on the PowerTour...... drive mine as often as possible [weather permitting] - my car sees ZERO snow/road salt and ONLY sees rain one time a year and it just happens to be on the PowerTour :biggrin:

I know of another local place for a trans just as good if not better than Lens, no need to drive that far for another trans, at least for me..

I destroyed 2 of lens transmissions like nothing, 1 lasted less than a year the other less than a week because it wasnt right to begin with , new local guy fixed it all good and now trannie shifts like champ and never skips a beat, thanks to SOD from hytech for turning me onto this new trannie guy..

Honestly, the first time I built my transmission, I just used CK's book. Its pretty simple and it was my first time doing a 200R4. Then my tq convertor took a crap and sent sh1t everywhere. I then tore it apart, and with some help from the local expert Donnie Wang, I he was able to show me a few more tricks and go over the entire transmission. I think the second time was a little harder (but not much) because I tried to skip a lot of steps because I though I knew most of it. But eventually it was done (took about 1 week waiting for parts and all) but it can definitely be done in a day by the average gear head. I am no where near the expert Donnie is, but Im sure when he first started he didnt know everything, just like anyone else. So if your gonna keep your car, you might as well learn how to do everything your self. And if someone wants to bring there transmission over to rebuild, Im always here.

And the first trans I rebuilt lasted a lot of 15psi launches (with 1.6 60's) and 7.5 1/8 mile runs.... this may not be fast to most of you, but then again I only did a shift kit and rebuild kit for a total of $500 in parts. Last upgrade I went to a billet forward drum so this last rebuild was around $950.... but knowledge is key!

My GN is loving life in it's new 40x26 garage with heat and AC. it get's driven approx. 200 miles a week, and it's NEVER been parked outside over night, but it has to share the garage with several other cars

WOW Brent, thats a larger garage then you had before. Did you move and not tell me?
