I've seen two.

My buddy, Scott owns #106. I see it frequently.

I saw #478 at the New Orleans stop of Hot Rod Power Tour '03. It was in GMHTP after that also.

Hi,

No offense, but its not a real good idea to publish the name and location of an owner, unless of course he said it was OK.

This is due to potential theft of these cars.

Myself I've seen 2 maybe?? One was coming back from a local car show and the other I seen was drag racing down at Byron, ILLINOIS...

Now this is really odd... I pulled into the staging lanes at Byron Dragway and I see a GNX... So I get out and look at and the GNX serial # on the dash said GNX #548.... Huh??? I know they only made 547 so I asked the guy about it. The car had manual crank windows, power locks, and power seat... Looked under the car to check out the rear suspension and it was GNX!!

I looked around the car further and it had SW gauges just like every other GNX... Checked under the hood and the intercooler said the GNX production number on it too..... And the turbo shield was GNX also...At this point I'm really confused because all GNX's were optioned the same...

So I ask the guy how he got a GNX #548 and his answer was that he knew someone that worked at ASC McLaren and had some left over parts and made a GN that he bought new into a GNX really cheap!!!

Now I don't know if this was actually possible, or if the guy spent mucho dollars to replicate a GNX...

Every part on that car from the rims to the rear suspension, to the intercooler, and gauges was what appeared to be GNX parts..

Weird huh!!!

That sounds like the kind of inside joke that I would pull (just to be 'got' by fellow TR owners) if I was made of money. His story, though...a little fishy.

Hi,

This car was purchased from an ASC employee who ran the car down the ASC line on a Saturday. I spoke with this ASC employee at last Novembers SEMA show in Vegas. It has real GNX parts but is not an athentic GNX. Its missing the T2L option code on the trunk sticker and the paint code plate does not have "GNX" reversed embossed in it

I've never seen an intercooler on a GNX yet that had the production number on it from ASC. Sure is was not a silver tag with a intercooler serial number on it?

See how an unsuspection buyer can get screwed if they went to purchase a GNX Clone. So beware with many GNX parts floating around as well as the real and reproduction parts I've sold in the past a real good clone can be made.

Wasnt 007 from Florida originally. A guy who owns a small lot here said he owned it,but at the time he was in Florida.
When I had a ride in #007 it was still owned by GM and was part of the New York Press Pool. That is where the local car magazines/newspapers had access to new cars for evaluation.

#007 has stayed around the northeast and was driven hard around New York and Rhode Island. I had a brief reunion with the car at Englishtown in the early 90's and the car was rough.

I've seen two in the same garage. Mine and my dad's. Mine is the one on the right #445 and his is #230. This picture was at the Oklahoma Buick Performance Club's annual Buick vs. Ford shoot out in 2004. http://www.okbuicks.com/ Both cars are raced and driven regularly. Besides ours I've seen just a handful on the street. We did have a total of, I think, 4 racing at our shoot out last year.

Probably have seen a handful around. My insurance agent owns #387 (think that was the # anyway!) and have ridden in it. Didn't even want the responsibility of driving it though and didn't ask if I could. :) He probably scored one of the last good deals on one. 22K for one with only 7500 miles on it.

Cool car but it was a nice feeling knowing that my GN could kick it's ass. :D

The owner of another one I know of owned a local speed shop until he passed away a few years ago. Was basically his daily driver car, he also owned a Ferrari Testarossa so a GNX was no big deal to him I guess. Even saw it out in a raging rainstorm one time. His son owns it now and drives it occassionally.

I have seen about 5, so far. In fact, I know where a guy in Mesa has two. One has < 8000 miles and never leaves his garage. The other one has approximately 110K and never leaves his driveway. It's a shame that he hasn't moved that car in at least 2 years and just lets it rot in the sun without any protection. I even offered to buy it, and he said he wouldn't sell it for less than 22K!?! Come on guy, you're just letting it rot to waste and then you want to rip me off!

I was doing a little maintenance to #335 tonight. My cousin owns it, nice car that I'd love to own

some one i work with ownes one and only drives it twice a year to work during our inventory and i cant find out who it is , thats the only one i have ever seen .aAd about a earlier post a stock gnx trapping 103 is that correct that is pretty fast .
well i guess for a hot air guy?

I have scene a lot of them all over .... BUT I have been to all sorts of Buck events over the years ... have 1 GNX here ... TTA's ??? have 3 in the driveway :D

I saw #187 (I think) at Bowling Green Customs years ago. Lohn had it on the lift doing some work to it. Looked like it had been drivin a bit

Three, one at a dealer for $40K,one at the World of Wheels in Chicago, and one at ANS Performance years ago.

Not many but remember my first...it was a gn or gnx ....you guys can probably correct me. I THINK it was a GNX but this was the summer of 1986 when I was a teenager working at six flags. I hear this strange sounding car...hardly ANY turbo cars back then. Here comes this Gn/GNX.....black..everything black....nice shiny centerline rims (you know the ones from that era) with big meats on em...tires all shiny black and limo tint windows. You couldnt see the driver but man that car looked so badass to this (at that time) 17 year old teenager. I knew that car HAD to be fast cause it just looked like it would fly!!! It had all us guys drooling in the parking lot as he drove by. I guess everytime I see one now, I kinda reflect back to that day. We expected a cross between God and Walking Tall to step out of that car though we never saw the driver.
