How many splines are on the stock YOKE Pinion Flange??

Im gonna change my ring gear & pinion but back to the stock set up, just tougher after market units. I wanna make sure i get the stock splines instead of 30 or whatever they are.

the axles are 28 splines stock(going Moser here)

ring gear im going (Motive or either the summit brand which is really U.S.Gear/STRANGE).,

but what about the
pinion flange yoke?? so that when i order the pinion gear it'll all bolt in nicely.

Any one know what the stock spline #s are, not the gear on the pinion but the splines??

you're looking for a pinion yoke for a gm 8.5?.... there is only one spline available

pinion spline count is 30



most aftermarket pinion yokes take the 1350 series ujoints in which case youll need the conversion ujoints installed on your shaft (good thing i see from your sig its not the stocker or i'd be suggesting that you do the shaft and the trans yoke too)

I think im askin this right.. lets see.. I have the Dynotec drive shaft & spicer ujoint in the rear.. that fits on my stock pinion yoke as it is.....

Im wanting to change the ring gear/chipped tooth. and the pinion gear but im wanting to Keep my original rear end/ pumpkin Yoke on the car since it already matches up with my drive shaft.

so if the pinion gear from summit has 30 splines when i buy- it does the stock pinion gear thats in the car Now has 30 splines & not 28/27.

Im just wondering if i get the pinion gear from summit will the splines slide onto my stock yoke? I dont wanna buy another yoke i wanna keep the stock yoke.& will this all coincide, just bolt in and go>:redface:

hope i didnt confuse ya. so if my stoke pinion gear now has 30 splines & the one i buy has 30 splines all is good then.
