i have american collectors insurance. i pay 400 something for 30K

~350 yearly w/ Grundy. 22.5k is the coverage. Not to mention there are all kinds of things they cover. The best part about Grundy is no mileage restriction as long as it isn't your daily transportation. You will have to have another car for each driver in your family to qualify. I plan on driving 2000k miles this year on Powertour alone.

Not real sure how much I pay becuase my truck is also part of my insurance plan but my Stage 2 GN is insured for $55k and with my truck's full coverage factored in, I pay $710 a year for both.

That sounds really low? Is that a multi car rate or is that seperate from your DD cars insurance?

I just got that reduce this year, reason being i found out that we get 10% OFF if we are part of a car club:biggrin:Chicagoland Chapter GSCA:biggrin:

No chit huh? Im with American Car Collector and pay $380 for $20k with a 5k mile limit:mad:. No deducutable.

looks like it's time for a change huh? 5 miles :eek:is nothing, that's the distance to the movie theaters around here. wow! that does suck.

Have you ever driven any of your cars 5000 miles??:biggrin:

25K coverage with Grundy, under $400 a year. Switched from Hagerty last year. Was pissed when I realized that Hagerty didn't have any glass coverage. WAS covered with them for 18K for $400.

$18000 on the GN

$340/year with Hagerty

Im gonna do some shopping around this spring

2 TR's with American Collectors $25k agreed value each- $500 and change per year.

Need to be garaged, 2500 mile limt IIRC

I have Rally Ins

collector / classic car .
GNX, WE4, T-type, 57 chevy.
all agreed value
total for all 4 per yr, 3k mi on ea , is $465
agreed value is updated yearly,
Rally uses NADA as referance for value.

My original 9000 mile T Type with a policy valued at $20,000, and and full coverage is ~$170 a year.

My second T, not the race car, but very nice black one, is also full coverage and $14,000 value is under $100 a year. :D

Had Haggerty for years, they suck big time.

A customer currently sent a claim to them on his 1986 GN with front and rear damage, bent frame, quarter panels and roof and a body shop estimate of $14K. He figured this would be the simplest way to get his car fixed.

They sent him a check for $5000, when he has $20K plus stated value coverage. No thanks. :o

He was hit from behind and pushed into another car. Her insurance co. estimated $2000 damage.

Arizona is an arbitration state, so we WILL get a fair settlement from her ins. company. I have always been able to do so with the POS insurance adjusters through the years. :)

My point on appraisers. Terry Shaw who is my appraiser is also an attorney. He will fight the Ins Co. to get the value that you have been paying the premium for.Part of his fee is your retainer for his services, should you ever need them, in any state. That is how it should be. He lost some cars way back and lost all his $$$ to. He took up appraising and is very well known all over for putting values on the customs and tricked out race cars. Muscle cars and exotics are his speciality. I sleep well at night knowing that he has never lost a case to ANY Ins Co. That is piece of mind. I have heard too many horror stories. You get what you pay for in your appraiser and Ins Co. As GRUMPY says," Pay peanuts, get monkeys!"

Thanks
Coach
