Hi- I pushed my crank out of my bottom end about 5 years ago:eek: Since then I have been really bussy at work/Wife/KIds, well you get the picture.. My question is what do you guys think a fair price is to put my buick back together? The motor is rebuilt. I had the car towed to his shop and brought the motor in the back of my truck. Tranny is in the car. He is going to put the motor in the car, Put on all new parts. Intercooler,Turbo,Injectors,Wireingharnes, Run new fuel lines and fuel pump, make car run on e85, Dyno tune ,and drive out the door. .... He is telling me he will probley have around 40hrs in it.. At $100.00 per hour that adds up to $4000.00 :eek: Does this sound about right?? THis is labor only.. Im supplying all parts..

Thanks in advance,
Matt

That seems a little steep. Why does it need a new harness? I would do some research and try to do most of it yourself.

Im In limbo on what to do. On a side note its great to be back..... I know this is a turbo form ?, But what up with the new 67bb turbo? Please Keep them comming..

half of what he want's. I would not pay to get any of it done, but I have the time. If I could not do this stuff my self, this car would have been long gone.

Thanks Again,

Jim Maisy put together my T-type motor for my dad last year. He lives off Center street around 108th. He's a good guy and won't screw you.

He won't "tune it to run on E85" or dyno test it, but he'll get it running on pump gas for likely for less than 1/2 what you've been quoted.

If you are interested, PM me with contact info and I can put you in touch with him.

Sounds a little high. I could do all that myself in about 15-20hrs as long as the dash didnt need to come out. If the dash needed to come out add in 6-8hrs. There is always some unforeseen expense. Maybe thats why he quoted high
