I was only saying that the guy that bought a 4.1 block for $50 bucks got a great deal!

Not that the shop charged $50 to check it.

I dropped off the block and the crank at the machine shop and I had the block tanked, magged and checked along with the crank and it cost me $130. The block will clean up good with another .010 which will make it .040 over. The crank on the other hand was junk. The crank had previously been turned 10/10 but they used standard bearing and had strips of Monster Energy drink cans placed between the caps and bearings to take up the extra room! :eek:It just goes to show that when you buy a used motor it is the ole "pig in a poke" scenario and you never know what you are getting!
