how much should RPM raise when TC unlocks at WOT?

I've got an Art Carr 3200 9 inch TC. When I am cruising in drive at 3000rpm and the the TC is locked up, and I go to WOT and the converter unlocks, how high would you expect the RPMS to rise? I'm seeing about a 1000rpm increase... thanks.
