Hey guys, i was wonering how you would identify a bad lifter?

I had to pull the heads and since then i was setting the preloadon my comp cams roller lifter and one of them will not keep my preload setting after i rotate the enginearound by hand a few times.

Basically i set the thing, rotate it around until the cam is on the bottom of the lobe andcheck the freeplay in the pushrod and all the others will rotate with a little bit of drag, and withno rattle in the rocker, but onelifter rattles after setting itand rotating it.

Thanks guys,

Also what is the typical part number for these roller for our cars. It is a comp hydraulic roller for a 212/212 cam. Are they the samea a SBC? If it has crapped out onme i need to buy a new pair ASAP.
