Increasing octane is the easiest way to stop detonation. If you are getting detonation with 100 octane and alky injection you likely have a serious timing issue. Maybe you reluctor ring is out of position on balancer. How do you know you have detonation?

Or it's false knock. I've been dealing with false knock for a while now. Trying toi figure out what the heck is causing it is becoming a huge pain in the butt. Have you tried 3rd gear pulls? do you get any knock then? I can run 3rd gear pulls at 23lbs all day long and never see a hint of knock but in 1st and 2nd, I've had some crazy numbers lol

Has the car been tuned?
Before i started tuning my car I was getting KR at 12# of boost.
once i started tuning and talking to the right people i was able to run 34# of boost on 93 and ALKY.

I strongly suggest that you turn down the boost and get the car tuned before you crank up it back up.
BTW
I blew my old motor up in less than 1 SECOND- By the time you see and react to KR the damage has been done.

YOU are right Dave, All the adjustments are done with the builders knowldge. But you know my car, and you know how many people are watching my car... I just want the car to be rt and run 10.80s- 11.20s and I dont care what it costs. My problem is I need to relax and go slow with it.... Dave thanks for the help with my car

anytime Dude
as i told you your car is awesome
But you need to slow down, Tuning takes time and i think its the hardest part of a new build.
once you get the Wideband and PowerLogger on it. It will make the tuning process much safer as you/tuner will see whats going on and make adjustments accordingly.
My first time at the track i went from a high 14. second car to a 12.98 all in tuning.
my next time out i went from 12.98 to 12.10 all in tuning.
all with the help from the right people that actually race and tune their own and other peoples cars.

Injectors are to small for the air your pushing,If change from the "Chip" route an add aftermarket ECM your Motor will be more fine tuned plus you can run what ever size inj. your motor needs vs having to mod. the stock ECM, new chips ,etc,etc,etc..If don't care on the cost, Get the Good stuff...8^)

Enjoy!

we had the car out last nite, and it was runing strong... but in the deep end or big end, going 2nd to 3rd, the car spuded and was falling on its face then manual shifted to 3rd and it would crush you back in the seat.... It did the samething 3rd to 4th? anyone have ideas?
