Finally getting around to diagnosing the non working HVAC control in my 87 T. Took it apart last night and the only thing I saw thay seemed like the problem was the 9 hole selector had a tiny separation in it causing a leak. Looks like the white retainer clip is broken. Does anyone make a rebuild kit? I purchased a NOS heater only vakve on ebay just to steal the star and retainer from, but just trying to see if that doesn't work out.

I have took mine apart and cleaned the rubber diaphram. I then put a thin coat of Molykote light on the rubber diaphram and put it back together. Mine works fine now. Mine was leaking and I could hear a hiss. You can find new 9 port valves but the are around $80 - saw on Highway Stars. Be careful with the plastic piece that holds it together - it may be brittle and break.

Hope this helps, Craig

Can't help OP with a kit, but you are correct about the part being available on Highway Stars. The price is more than $80, though.
HVAC Control Vacuum Valve - GM/ACDelco - 9 Port - GM# 16037778

Mike's Montes also shows it......AC 16037778 valve-573-2-2

Just to help with future searches, Vortex Buick has the GM and ACDelco part numbers on their web page......AC Vacuum Switch
