Well I had my 275/50 15s BFG DRs mounted and balanced today and they are sweet! The tires are wide! It was a tight fit, but a small spacer took care of it. My drivers side is a lot tighter than the passenger side. What the largest spacer I can use on stock lugs safely?

Well now for the doofus. I'm all excited about trying out my new tires so I go home and install the powerplate I had laying around. After that I go to the gas station because I'm low on fuel and I fill the tank completely with 87 OCTANE! DUH, what a doofus I am. Now I have to waste this whole tank before more happy time. :( Have you ever done this? Also, I was showing the tire guys my SMC kit and I ended up turning the pump speed to 0. :eek" 14degrees knock :eek:

You can drain the tank from the fuel rail with a hose and a test wire conncected from the black connector behind the alternator to the hot lead on the back side of the alternator.

Drain fuel tank 1

Drain tank thread 2

You can use the kit for draining the tank at the track also.

Take out half of it and dump in 5 gallons of Xylene and some MMO. You'll be back on the boost in no time.

I can top that but it wasn't me who did it. Last summer a friend of mine who owns a 68 Hemi Charger that he just restored to the tune of about 70 grand filled his tank up with diesel! DOH:eek:

YIkes Mark! I hope he caught that mistake in time.

BTW, I'm buying some Weld rims this weekend. I didn't really like them until I saw them on your car on your website. :)

I know an idiot at Englishtown last year who put $42.00 worth of GT100 in his car while chatting at the pump.

Boy was he in for a surprise. :D

I think he weighed in at 4000lbs. that day....

ok stick a long tube down in to the gas tank and hold a towl around the neck so its air tight and then blow until you hear it bubbleing inside the tank, the air pressure will force the gas down and out the tube and the suction of it will empty the tank by its self.

lol @ the diesel. I've tried to do that a few times. It's a good thing they make the diesel nozzle bigger, or I would've been in a big hurt. Doing car stuff tired SUCKS.

I didn't realize how Sh*tty poor gas would make these cars run. I've never added anything other than 93. Thankfully I'm at a half tank now. Time to go buy some Xylene!

When I worked at Hostess, I filled one of the brand new diesel trucks up with gas and drove about 40 miles before it crapped out. It was cold and on the way down the highway it was bucking...i thought the diesel was gelling up.

I intentionally filled my car w/87 octane.. I was on my way to BG one year, and figured I would save a few bucks.. I mean hey.. I wasn't in the boost, it was all higway driving, right?

BBBBBZZZZTTT!!! - WRONG!!

Drove like a pig in mud, knocking and pinging up every hill, gererally ran like crap. I'll NEVER do that again! :D
