I'll tell you who wasn't watching over that kid was his parents. With supervision like that, the kid might have been better off if he ended up with the angels.

aw come on now.. i'm sure they are getting lawyered up as we speak so they can sue the mall for not making the escalators safe for "adventurous" kids like this one..

as a former elevator mechanic, the parents should be held accountable, most malls comply with state laws, bad parenting if you ask me. Hay GNBRET i hope you had a safe and happy new year bud.

This is an amazing video, but before people are too quick to judge you should know the circumstances.
Our 5 year old son Joshua is Autistic, you can turn you your head for a second and he is gone.
In bigger stores like Target it can take a while to find him.
You don't know what it is like to lose your child and everything that goes through your mind.

We lost him for about 10 minutes right before Christmas.
I ran to the front door of the store first to make sure he did not exit.
Then I circled back through departments he likes.
I checked the bathrooms to make sure I pervert had not gotten him
I made it all the way back to my wife and I still could not find him.
Then I saw the overhead fans in the cafe out of the corner of my eyes.
I realized that Joshua like most Autistic children likes fans, wheel and basically anything reciprocating.
We ran into the cafe to find Joshua sitting at a table smiling and watching the fans.
I gave him a hug and cried a little bit...

It is one of my worst fears as a parent to loss my child and to have him be scared or in danger with out my help.
