I just can't bring myself to do it

Put in a Powerstroke IC, that is. I got a PS IC with the piping already fabbed up. I came out of another TR. After taking the front clip off the car and seeing all of the cutting that is involved, I just can't stomach hacking up the car that much. On top of it all, the tubing I got won't work anyway because there is not enough clearance inbetween my dual fan setup and my Racegate that is mounted of of my Mease DP. I'm also bummed that I will be putting the stock IC back in. I think I'm going to sell my setup and get a PS IC with aluminum end tanks so I can do it the Nick Micale way. He had a welder mount the inlet and outlet pipes pointing out the sides which allows you to have the tubing come in through the existing holes behind the headlights.

I'm looking for some input. Should I go Nick's route, or just try to find a good used stock location stetch IC?

Take your time, in a few days i will post some pics of my fm design. No its not a powerstroke, Yes it is a dealer item intercooler. It mounts in front of the rad and the inlet and outlet straddle the sides of the rad. A 1"x3" sliver is cut out of the rad support on the pass side where the rad support connects to the inner fender to make room for the inlet hose. I just need to finish painting the brackets and take more pics for when i sell the kit i am assembling. The kit will be very inexpensive, the basic kit will consist of a good used i/c that i get from a pick and pull yard that will be psi tested and will have all the brackets that i designed and made for a couple hundred or so dollars. and the good part is if the i/c ever goes out just go to the********** dealer and get a new one for under 2 hundred and bolt it in. I have a few people interested in this kit but i want to get mine done first to test and prove everything out and make quality control and design changes first. It wont be long

Buy a PTE FMIC.

Simple install, looks great, fits great, doesn't cost too much.

I hear you. I've had the PS IC for awhile since I was going to use it on another car. I can't bring myself to cut up the header panel. I'm either going to mod the end takes like Nick does or have new end tanks completely fabricated so the inlet and exits are on the bottom.

Buy a PTE FMIC.

The PTE FMIC is $895. My budget is tight and I never have that much money to spend at once. I figure I can setup a modified PS IC for around $300 or so.
