I need a Cup Holder

Anyone have any ideas about putting a cup holder in our cars? I mean really, my truck has two seats and 4 drink holders and my GN has none...thats not right. I want to put something in there other than the tacky Wal-mart variety. There must be some car out there I can scavange out of or someone selling decent ones on the internet. Any Ideas??????

GN's are too fast for a cup holder. Stomp the gas and you're GONE!!!!!!! No liquid is going to stay in a cup.
Unless you are drinking out of a SIPPY cup.

I know that's right!! I had my big ol' coffee cup in the console the other morning, punched it to pass a car and suddenly had a console fulll of coffee. That's what prompted my search for a cupholder...

I used to have one of those sandbag type weighted holders.
Still moved too much,
so I kinda tied it up right in front of my driver seat on the floor.
I just used some black string, (same color as the holder) and tied it to the seat frame.

Fischer a German company makes a fold up holder I bought for the GN.

Plan on screwing it into the left middle vent up on the radio pod.

Between the dash pad and the vent and it shouldn't mar anything.

Have one on salvageV6 that's been there for 12 years now, similar design.

Can't find that one so this expensive $12.99 German one is all I know about now.

PS: They also make a cool eyeglasses holder, again not as cool as the Jones one that I've had in salvageV6 for 12 years though.

My SC has the same problem, no holders.
I bought a cupholder at Walmart that holds the cup from the bottom, the 2 holders cinch together to hold different size drinks. Put two sided tape on the bottom. It sits down in the armrest storage area, I have a towel in there to help hold it in place and in case of spill. The armrest closes w/o the drink in there, but when I have the morning coffee, I have to have the armrest up. Not perfect, but it works.

I got a fold down armrest out of a '89 Olds88. It has a coin slot and a fold out cup holder. I fabbed up 2 brackets that screw down to the console screws in the compartment. Now I have a fold up armrrest with a coin holder and cup holder.

Salvagev6 I think that Fischer Cupholder may fit in the console, it would be slick if it did.

I made a cup holder to fit in my center console by cutting a couple 2" lengths of 3"pvc pipe. Then I took a piece of flat abs plastic and cut it to the right width of the inside of the center console, heated and bent it into a sort of zig-zag, drilled two holes to line up w/existing screws in the console. Then I used a 3" hole saw to cut a couple of holes in the abs and glued the pieces of pipe to the bottom of it. Before anyone gets to upset w me I'll try to get some pics up by tomorrow .
