I Need Spings and shocks Help?? Any suggestions?

Hey all,

I am a new 85 GN owner that just purchased the car of neglect. I am in heavy need of a new set of shocks and springs. My tires get a kick everytime I hit a pot hole and I am afraid of a blowout. I have a totally stock car I mean everything. I would like to do some mild upgrades and what an area to start like the suspension I do plan on keeping the stock rims and was wondering if anyone out there has replaced the springs on these beasts?? I don't want to use the quick fix of airbags but want to have a good handleing car with a descent amount of comfort. Summit racing sells springs that will lower the car an inch but I was worried about the ride will it be too rough?? you are the experts what do you think??

I just recently installed Kirban's variable rate springs and Bilstien shocks. I also installed the frame braces. Dramatic difference. handles 100% better thans stock. I just the shocks and springs. The shocks are a bit expensive...$300 a set of four. BUt I feel they are worth it. These shocks and springs work great together and it didn't change my ride hieght!
