Put it away Nov 2, 2010 and haven't even looked at it since. I have too many cars, had to rent a garage to store it. Took it to the garage under the cover of darkness, filled it up, added Sta-bil, pulled the ECU wire, and covered it up.

I tried to drive it as much as I could before winter. It may have almost 22k miles on it now.

Thanks, yes, it's very very nice. Pretty much spotless, and I love that stupid car.

I'm missing mine to. My dad is taking care of it for my while I'm deployed with the USN to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. :(

But why pull the ECU wire? And stabil really isn't going to do much if you're just storing over the winter. My cars have been "put away" down in my basement garage even longer than yours. All I do is hook up the battery tenders, and wait for spring. They always fire right up.

I pulled the ECU wire so it wouldn't start. I doubt a potential thief would try to diagnose a no start issue.

I know it must be a real PITA to have to store it "off site", but if a thief wants your car, a no start situation wont even slow them down.

That's why I went to the trouble of have this house (modest as it is) built on a basement with plenty of room for two oversized garage stalls (in addition to the two on the main level).

more pics of the garages please....

Not much else to take pictures of. Under the closest cover is my 87 GN, and under the further one is my 86 GN. Just out of view to the right is of course the "adult beverage" refrig. Scot W can find it in the dark. But that's OK, he helps keep it stocked.

The garage is 26' deep, and each stall is wide enough that the doors on the GN's can be fully opened and and not tough anything or each other. Directly in view is the tool box, and to the left is the work bench with of course the little TV and a microwave. :)
And the two electrical drops for the battery tenders (worth their weight in gold!)

OHIOC5, do you have a nice cover over your car while in storage? IT HELPS!!!! Especially as nice as yours is!!!!

Awesome garage, someday I will have all my toys in one spot. The real PITA is my wife likes cars as much as me. We just bought her a really nice black 4-matic, had to give her a garage spot. Couldn't put my Chevelle outside and no way puttting the GN out. So, my work car and beater sit outside.

Yes, I have a pretty nice, soft, indoor cover on it. The garage I'm renting doesn't even have an outlet. Not real happy I couldn't hook up my battery tender. The garage was nice, cheap and I share it with my very responsible nephew. He has eyes on my car everyday.
