As many know, I modify the ECM's for peak and hold drivers. I use the correct 2.5 amp drivers for the 2 ohm injectors (55's, 72's, 75's, etc.)
Over the years, I have seen many kinds of "reman", "rebuilt", whatever ECM's from many sources. The quality of these units has been poor.
I believe its getting worse as time goes on, as these units are so old that they are lowest priority among the ECM repair outfits.
If you want to get an ECM modified, please do the following:
Get a good, non-remanned ECM. The one from your car is best, since you know its history. You can also get one from various "recyclers" that post here on the board. Get one with no water damage tio the connector, "pretty ones" actually seem to be the best ones.
Make sure it runs, drive it around a little.
THEN send it.....
