Intermittent Brake Light

I think I asked this question once before but I didn't understand the answer. My brake light will come on when I hit the brake and will stay on for a half second and go back off until I hit the brake again. I have a good brake but I scary when you see the light come on out the corner of your eye. 1987 GN

most likely "accumulator ball" on the brake system
it's the ball on the drivers side of the unit and looks like,
well, a ball.

Common problem of powermaster brakes and getting pretty expensive to fix.

shiver me timbers its a bad accumulator ball off the port bow matey!

Do not forget...

Make sure you depressurize it by mashing on the brakes
10 times with the car off before removing the old accumulator.

Thanks to all you guys who answered my question. Thanks Ed for the reminder about pumping down the steel cannonball. Anyone know what is inside of one of them accumilators?
