last tnt sunday of the year any of you guys interested in laying down some numbers... ill be there

They'll just kick me out.

Again:biggrin: .

Mike B.

How many runs are you guys getting in going to Irwindale? The reason I ask is at the last Barona event I stopped to talk to a fella in the pits that I didn't recognize and asked where he was from. He answered with one of those LA County city names. There's so many. I asked what made him come to Barona and he answered that he could get many more runs in at Barona than he could at Irwindale. I got his point when I remembered the one time I went to Irwindale with a friend that raced his car and the tremendous crowd that was there. The staging lanes was like an all night camp out. And the wanding. What's with that?

We talked about traction differences of the two tracks and he thought they were pretty much equal.

It was a quick orange colored Honda car. Naturally aspirated. It was impressive.

So anyway, how many runs do you guys typically get in for a day of racing.

Don,

On Thurs nights gates open at 4:30pm track opens at 5pm to 10pm. The average is 3 runs some times 4-5 very rare though.

YEP.. and i have a ton of time slips to back up my word too ;) ..

I'm gonna need to buy you a vest for all your patches and brownie points or maybe a trench coat they just might fit if you place them correctly. You're cool Mike.

You get more runs in on a sunday since not that many people know that their open on some sundays

I've heard reports from some fellas that they were able to get 14 runs in at Barona. I burn a lot of time in the pits between runs, but even so, I'm usually able to get in a minimum of 5 to 6 runs. So you guys are sitting in the lanes a long time then.

don't hate that you having ran a 9.. weather temp shouldn't be a factor if you have the power  .. i think you should take the tag off your car

Thanks guys you're the BEST! ;)

The car is a 9sec car Mike the last time out at the track it ran 6.38 and I was so lean I was 3mph slower then my last mph 6.39@ 109mph. Once I get my XFI in I'll run the car hard I don't really feel comfortable with this chip the processing speed is to slow and there is no room for error. It's all about $ and I don't have it right now.

Don't take the tag off your car! It's not like anyone in in SoCal went faster than you with a chip. When you get the XFI let "US" know if you have any concerns. "WE'D" be more than happy to help with anything you need to acheive your goals. 9's are a thing of the past. 8's are the new TSM goal..

Sincerely,

the SoCal XFI "Club"

Brent

let him get a TRUE 9.99 pass before he gets the 8 sec tag for the car..

did you hear me state "its to warm to race" no.. i ran my shi* time after time out in Fontana during summer time and Vegas (108 * with 5500alt). i put up my times to back up my word.. So if i had a tag that stated "9 sec" and my car never posted a time to match it i would be called a fake wantabe...

Yes Mike you're correct! I'm A Fake Wannabe

There is one thing I would like to say. I'm out to have a good time, not out to prove something or show someone how big my head is! I love the good kick in the pants of racing & tuning. It's fun working on your car and getting every last bit of power out of it. Not paying someone to build a stroker 40 over motor then call him every time you get back from the track for a new FAST B2B file. I'm sorry if I offended anyone for getting a 9sec lic. plate before the car actually ran it. I wasn't aware of the repucusions!

I'm not like you Mike, I can't go to every car club and try my best to fit in by telling them I had a fast GN or a boat. It's not my style  . I get bored at car shows. The best part of a car show is driving too a show. No pun to anyone. I'll be in the 9's very shortly. :)

Yes Lee I would love to use your 8sec plate. ;)

maybe you shoud have little bitc*.. have a good time wishing and dreaming

so i guess its true that Mr lou help you out with funds and parts to get your SO CALLED 9 sec car to where it's at.. if it wasn't for him and his tools & shop, you wouldn't even own a running Buick.. so yea, i had Anderson build me my motor whats the big deal about that?? at least i had fun running the car when i owned it and i wasn't changing out head gaskets every weekend like youself because of your great tuning skills....

and if you need some money, hit me up. it sure sounds like you do that alot too  ..
