Eagle crank; Oliver rods; Diamond pistons; ARP everything; clevite bearings; RJC girdle; ported and polished irons with flow numbers like Champion (according to engine builder), port matched intake; Custom roller cam, morel lifters, KB roller rockers, ta performance balancer, new flexplate,etc....

42lb injectors
hotwire
TT340 fuel pump
Pypes dual exhaust
3in downpipe with cutouts
cold air
LS1 maf and translator
and of course a scanmaster

i just want to get the car running right with all of these parts on pump gas so i need to know what kind of power i should expect on a good tune. then i got some body work to take care of. after i get this combo running right i will move onto getting the trans upgraded and an ALKY. is this combo a good one? and im ready for anything else you guys think i may need.
and who should i talk to about getting a good convertor?
thanks

Good answer....I was wondering why in the world you'd spend all that $$$$ with a stock turbo.

Go with 60 lb. injectors, no reason not to. Stock torque converter? That could hamper the performance...

With a decent converter and tires, no reason it shouldn't go solid 11's

ya a converter was my next plan for an upgrade. any suggestions on which one or where a good place to get one would be.
thanks

if your target is 11 sec the 42 and alky will get the job done, you dont need the 60's.your build is way overkill for 11's and if your going to use the 57mm dont go to big on the cam.

You can always go 80lb injectors just incase you ever want to go the E85 route. I got 60's because I scored them cheap. 1/2 of my combo is awesome Ebay scores due to my budget. A mild roller cam and 2800-3000 converter would make this a nice setup.

What are your goals with this car? Street car with an occasional 1/4 mile blast, or lots of strip time? I personally think the crank, rods, and girdle are overkill if you are not planning to turn this into a solid 10sec track car. Check my build in the sig. I ran mid 11's with only 20psi, no traction, and had to shift into 4th because I ran out of gear. Next time I hit the track I will have a new rear suspension setup, wider tires, WOT TCC lockup, and 5 more psi. My end goal is to dial it back to high 11's and not worry about blowing it up.

60's are not a bad idea....they'll do nothing but help, definitely won't hurt.

As stated, get a PTC converter. Good advice. A used converter will be dangerous.....if it has any junk in it, it could toast your entire trans.

Agreed. Get alky and use that motor for what it's worth or run race gas, but get the boost up over 20psi and it'll fly. 80's need more than a single in tank pump to be fully fed, so 60s will get you there but your 42s and alky should too; get you to 11's I mean. It's easy to do with stock heads so you should be flowing plenty. I'd be shooting for 10's too if I were you with your equipment. A bad tune will destroy even the strongest built engine though.

okay thanks guys for all the good info.... i know this motor is capable of more and i want to to get it into the 10s in time so i think im gonna go ahead and get some 60 lb injectors. i know it sounds dumb and im really kicking my self for it but i bought this motor from a fellow member and he had it built buy a guy that put a custom cam in it and he could not recal the specs of it so what should i do to figure that out? i was planning on doing the trans and converter at the same time in a few months along with alky as well. right now the budget does not allow that i blew all of it in the motor lol... i know the motor was overkill but i know as soon as i get 11s i will want 10s lol so i got a strong motor to handle it. my real goal is low tens when i can afford the trans and rear for all of that. right now i have to drop the motor in and get a good break in period done before i start adding everything to it....any tips on doing the break in...oil?....and what the hell should i do with my grounds on the fire wall because they are a mess this is my first tb and i know that the grounds are a big deal in these cars so any suggestions.... i know some of you guys are going to just tell me to read, read, read to learn more about these cars and trust me i am and i have an idea of what i want to do with this car im just getting some opinions from people that have been there and done that so i dont make the same mistakes. thanks

You're right on electrical. I attribute my car's reliability to my overkill grounding and excellent alternator that runs 14.7 volts. The fuel pump, ECM, ignition module, alky pump, etc all work as planned all the time because of good electrical. Do that first if you want to go fast, just my 2 cents though and there are others here worth a lot more than that, so blah blah blah read, read, read. 60s are a good idea with a single pump and with alky should easily get you into the 10s. A good trans and converter matched to your turbo are key for street fun and strip ET. A stock rear end is good well into the 10s, especially with a rear end girdle, T/A etc. Other than that, make sure you know how to tune and you'll be getting kicked off the track in no time.

As everyone has already stated...your motor is built for much past 11's. Supersize a few things and you will pull 11s with poor driving :P

Hey make sure your suspension is up to date, Power is great, but without a good bar out back and some uppers and lowers even some air bags, your really going to be missing out on good 60ft time's + good traction..and since your already back there might as well girdle the rear, TA has some nice covers and girdle kits IMO, but im sure with the 42's you can dip deep into 11's on race fuel.. people have done it with less

That should be an easy high 11 sec combo with a good tune on 93. No need to change anything till you get it going. Plenty of injector already. 11.80@17psi with a 1.65 60' is what I'd shoot for. Then do a converter, turbo, alky and injectors and have well into the 10 sec potential. the idea of running it on just 93 with low boost and dialing it in is a great one.
