so i made an offer of 1200$ for a used fast bank2bank system from someone on this board. Cotton has them on his site for $1250 + shipping. Is my offer of $1200 too much, is a fast bank2bank worth $1200? Its acutally RAZORS old fast unit.

how about $215 for a set of brand new moser 28splined axles? Is that overpriced? I decided to go 28 spline cus its cheaper and will work fine for my combo, compared to going all out and dropping $1000 plus for eaton unit and 30 spline axles and ford ends bla bla bla. It will be awhile before i NEED a 30 spline and a set of 30 axles, and the ford ends. I dont anticipate needing this until i do upgrade to a t66 or t67 turbo. But for now, the t60 is here to stay.

thank you in advance for any information, I will be buying the fast and those axles if there good deals. Please voice your opinion ASAP as i have both sales pending for the fast and the axles.

Mark: not than anything can go wrong on the fast bank2bank system, but considering that there is only a price difference of $1200 used with no guarantee, to $1250 + shipping, but guaranteed & brand new. I wouldn't think that the used fast bank2bank system is any type of a bargin at all. $50 off a $1250 unit is only 4% off for something used and not guaranteed. That's not any bargin to me. Also, how many other people out there right now are looking for a fast unit and willing to but one with no guarantee and only $50.00 off another price.

I dont think that the cotton unit for $1250 is new, but its used. I actaully had the pleasure of meeting razor in FL last time i went there. Im awaiting his email and opinion on this used unit and below is a link to the post. Im going to call cotton on monday and find out if he does garuntee his used fast bank2bank. If he does then i will take your advice wells n get the unit from him.

thanks wells, anyone else got some advice? this is a pretty big purchase and i see how it would be unwize to try and save a little bit of money. Especially on a used unit from someone with only 150 post? But like in the link razor voches for him and the used unit so i dunno, anyone with an opinion??

Considering that I did not know what the unit sold for new, I don't think that you should listen to any advise from me. Doesn't Jeff Rand, Reggie West, or Rick Percy use one of those?

Go for It

Mark,

The B2B FAST unit installed in my car (before I bought it) cost $1796.00 (new)(with the wide band 02)

$1200 - $1300 is probably a good used price if they have the latest software and if the wiring harness adapters are in good shape

Bad thing with the B2B is if and when the WB02 sensor goes out

Try almost $400 for a new 02 sensor

Great to be MAF-less, and it's easy to make corrections on the computer

Who ever you get it from hopefully will give you a basic .gct file set up for your particular cars components

Good luck with the search / purchase

Later,

Ray

jeff your the man! Called them today n odered their 28 spline's. Around 270$ shipped not bad, and he was nice enough to explain the differences in detail between his and the mosers. His axles are rolled to spline spec, instead of as you said the mosers are cut n recut to spline spec. Im looking forward to recieving them! Thanks jeff! I miss you buddy, your calm attitude and witty humor are missed @ the track. Not to mention your car is pretty bad ass! Looking forward to running tom's stuff.

so the axles are checked off the list, i decided to take your guys advice and get the used fast bank2bank from cotton. Saving only 50-100$ isn't that big of a deal compared to garuntee of parts. So i didn't buy the used one from rosewood. I tried to call Jack today, arond 4:15pm to order but he didn't answer so i left a message. Ill try again tommarow, thanks again for the advice?

***update as of 9/11/06 4:45pm Jack doesn't have any more units left, where could i go to get one? I just rejected rosewoods used one to get cottons cus i was told he had some. :( now noone has one haha. Any suggestions? Im calling Bill Anderson to see if he has any units.

I am really glad you went with Tom's axles. Put them in and forget about them, they will last you a long time. As far as the FAST, just make sure that the vendor you are buying the unit from will provide technical advice if you need it. Both Cal and Jack will support the products they sell. I am meeting Jack this week (he will be in town on Wed. evening). He offered to take the time to exchange the XFI that I bought (will not data log) and help me install the new unit and do some testing. Real nice guy!
Jeff

We have some in stock. Looks like I have been selling them to cheap!

called cal hartline today, but he wasn't in.

the nice lady which answered the phone did mention that the used fast b2b comes with everything; computer box, buick v6 harness, WBO2 sensor, software, computer cable, 3 map bar sensor, but no instructions. Where could I get the instructions so I can install it?

Cal, I'll call you up tommarow on Wednesday for a price. I'm excited to hear what this "we must be selling them cheap" stuff is all about  I like that quote. Because if its true, ill be ordering one and then ill really be happy.

The FAST instructions are on the software disc. As for installation instructions, it's a peice of cake. The hardest part is welding an O2 bung on the downpipe. If you decide to purchase one, I will need your engine specs to create a start up program.
