My brother has an art carr 9 inch torque convertor which is supposed to stall from 3000 to 3200 rpm. When we went to the track today he was taking off at about 6 lbs of boost and the stall would be at 3400 rpm. Another reason which I think it is slipping a bit is because before finishing the 1/4 of a mile he shifts into overdrive and only drops about 100 rpm from third gear(5300 rpm in third -shifts in overdrive 5200 rpm). He did his best et ever today which was 11.80 at 113 mph with a 1.60 60ft time. On another day he did a best mph of 114.74 with an 11.87 et and 1.72 60 ft time. I would really appreciate having some of you guy's advice on if his torque convertor is slipping.
