Nope! Was hoping some of our WA compadres could shed some light on who this is. That's all I care about at this point. Would like to send him a "surprise" package free of charge to his address but with my luck I would get arrested.
 
SORT of an update!

Got an email from someone in CA about "John Martin".. Apparently he owns a company that sells custom parts for VW's and was hit for about $1200 or so from this same guy.

Cops have been worthless on this whole investigation. Funny thing is, the owner of the condo has a VW Sirocco in the driveway!!! I don't think there is or ever was a "John Martin".

Another update!

Another company hit by this guy! That makes three of us now. This guy is doing some serious shopping at the expense of vendors.

I am one of several vendors to be hit by this "John Martin". He has been using stolen credit cards and shipping automotive parts to his Everett, WA, 98203 address. I have tried getting this resolved with local authorities, just wanted to make others aware. Do not sell to this name. He is a scumbag!

doesn't the postal service involvement in this situation require the postal inspector to look into this? interstate fraud?
 
I had shipped a part to a guy through Paypal. It was a $600 part. He told Paypal that he never recieved the part. I screwed up by not adding tracking. Paypal awarded him a refund even though the scumbag posted pics of the part on the forum I sold it to him on!!! I also showed paypal a receipt to HIS zip code on the DAY he paid me.

Its sad people like this are out there. Its getting to the point to where the sellers have NO rights.

If you sell on Ebay , YOU cant leave the deadbeat bidder a negative , ONLY a positive, lmfao. They can give you whatever they want. Thats just insane!!! ---
 
People like that f-it up for all of us. I live in caly and my car is in az. I always order parts and have them shipped there. Total BS. I wish they lived out here and I would go over there.:mad:

Well? Anything? There's no WAY I'd let that go... NOOOOOO way.
I had something bad happen to me the week I got back from Iraq. I came home and ordered a spotting scope and laser rangefinder from a place in Missouri. About a month later, no goods. I called them, nothing. Called like 5 times. Nothing. Called the local police department in their area. They said call us back if it doesn't get resolved.
Well, I google mapped and earthed them, down to the very house. Drew a map with a route from my house to theirs, with the time it would take to drive. I enclosed this map, and a note saying that I not only have the time AND money, but the motivation to drive down there, and bust into your store or house, and TAKE my ****, AND choke you senseless. I would have totally done it, just coming out of a firefight not 20 days prior, and still kinda runnin' hot.
After that email got sent, I got a reply the next day... Hmmm. Funny it took that for them to finally reply, with some lame excuse that their phones were down or some ****... Yea ok.
I HATE that ****. There's no way you're stealing from me. And if I were near that guy, I'd be in his parking lot watching... and waiting, for however long it took.
 
I freaking hate dealing with credit card chargebacks. People that steal credit cards should be shot on site.
 
Sort of hard to do anything about it when the police and post office could care less. It is obvious that it is the guy who actually lives at the address since he also ordered parts to fit a VW Sirrocco and there just happens to be one in the parking lot there.

Wonder how many other people out there have been ripped off. Would love to do something personally but sort of tough when he is 3000 miles away.
 
I know... it is a long way. I was talkin to that other guy though. What's up? Why are you not delivering some blunt force trauma?
 
Mark, that sucks that you got taken.
First, it may not be anyone at that exact address. It may be someone else in the area that just happens to know that that tenant is gone all day and that the packages will just be left out for anyone else to retrieve. So don't go sending a steaming pile of dog crap to that address. You'll have more problems. If there is no record of it, then it may have been picked by someone that works at the PO, and has access to that route, and just intercepted them first. Or it may have just been that the driver didn't feel like getting the signature. Postal workers aren't always the most ambitious. (This isn't to trash all postal workers.) Did you deliver it so that it maybe would get there on a Saturday? Maybe a part timer at the PO?
With a VW in the lot, it might look like that is the guy, but it also may be a coincidence. Also, this person may not have a Buick. Those parts could always end up on eBay, Craigslist, or some BB's for sale section. Look around, you may get lucky.
 
Oh, and one other thing. Would insurance even help in this situation? I'm guessing that it might, since the PO doesn't have any delivery confirmation, so you could always say that it was lost. But if it was actually delivered, would you get anything back? Wouldn't you need the person it was delivered to make the complaint?

he posted he doesn't ins his shipments.. He said he doesn't get burned often so I guess its worth it to him to taking the risk :redface:
