Dan,

We will be taking the car to the BOP in Bristol. I hope to have the car tuned in and ready to run right off of the trailer. The last time I ran a car in the low 11's the track officials told me to back it down or put on the trailer. (no cage) I hope the 50's will provide enough fuel on a full 1/4 mile pass. So far whin running on the highway the 50's seem to be holding up on a long pull.

Thanks for the positive feed back guys. I feel that the car runs far better that the numbers provided by the dyno runs. As UNGN has stated, it is knowing what set up and tune to go with. Red Armstrong, Fred V and many others have been produceing awesome numbers with unopned motors long before me.

Another thing to add, we will be removing the Hemco plemum and installing the RJC Power Plate with the stock plenum before running the car at the BOP in Bristol.

A-hole the 318 is a small block ford motor.

A-hole I hope you never hit a wrong key typing because you will also be a bigger a hole.
DUTWILLER.. **** head Moroon.

Lets start over

I for one do not visit message boards with the intention of insulting people or discussing things I am unfamiliar with. My original post to Chris Taylor was more intended to gather information. There doesn't seem to be that many mods to the Regal, that’s a fact. I never said, your full of ****. I was looking for anything interesting that may have occurred or been noticed while dynoing.

The reply from Turbov6joe was plain out of line. First off he knows nothing of me. I don't seem to recall saying, "Hey the mags say that’s not possible". So get a grip.

The reply from One Lethal 87GN was also uncalled for. "318?". I guess you've never heard of any other motor than a Buick v6. I don't recall indicating that the 318 was a Buick.

UNGN, I am familiar with tuning and results. As indicated I do have a dyno jet. I am on it way to much.

Quick6"n"-KC, my PhD thesis advisor was always concerned with my spelling also. Seems like you were reaching just to be included.

The other individual that implied I don't own a Buick v6, oh I do it's just not in a Grand National, it's in a Mustang.

The Dutwiller Twin turbo small block ford is in my pro car 1969 tube chassis Mustang.

Since I don't bull****, I'll go ahead to and set up a net snap shot page with some pics. I am not the one who started acting like an a hole, I believe it started with "I don't want to sound like a prick", well there was a certain implied tone there. I love cars and having fun but will not back off when I have no reason to. So check back later, some time tonight or in the morning and I'll get those pics up.:D :D

Ooops...misssed that one. Brain fart!

Great running car Chris. That's clear proof of combination and simplicity.

Those numbers seem about right from what I've seen. You're combo sounds very similar to a few of our cars with about the same results that we've seen here in Oklahoma based on 1/4 times and MPH.

The 50 series turbo's seem to do great with 50#'s and a nice V2 or other front mount. There's a guy here that ran 10.90's with blue tops, Precision front mount and and 51...stock block and heads. Granted he only did it once and he was SO out of injector but seems to fit.

Kev :)

sell the hemco.. get the power plate and look for around 500 hp when its colder out!!

Is the "race version" included in this statement? I have seen mixed reviews on that. Interested in some before and after dyno reports.

Interested in some before and after dyno reports.

i will see if i can get my car on the dyno sometime and do a back to back to back again test on them--

do you want a PTE upper w/plate vs stock appearing hemco??
cause i dont have a race style hemco laying around--

and vs. a stock upper with plate??

cause ive got all the above except for the race hemco-

on my 127 mph pass i went 101 in the 1/8 and just after the 1/8 mile the car started bucking from going lean.

i dont think you'll see them kinda 1/4 mph #'s i have a fealing that car is real strong from get go but will not be as strong on top end.

my car weighed 3692# and went 127 on 50's but they were wideopen

i really want to see a 51 go thru thr 1/4 making power and live..it would be shocking.. :D

The race Hemco. That's what I got, and I'm all ears if there is some power to make by a simple switch. Thanks!

I also own one myself and it's not that big a deal. F' U for implying I read something in a magazine. Yes I own a buick v6 turbo and a dutwillier 318 twin turbo and etc. The point is I asked a polite question and you did give a prick answer. So F you and your buddys slow piece of ****. Maybe your attitude works with your blue collar friends. But not here. learn how to answer appropriatly or piss off.

Please don't be using all that profanity in responses.

Thanks,

A couple of questions for us ignorant folk:

Isn't external appearance the only differenct between the stock and race Hemcos? I was under the impression that they were equivalent in performance.

I read 22% driveline loss, and adding 22% back in to convert rwhp to motor hp. To me these mean different things. A 22% loss would require adding in 28%. Adding in 22% would be compensating for an 18% loss. Yes, I know it is just semantics and most of you know what is meant, but I don't and would like to know which is really the correct calculation.

Thanks,
Tom

I would have thought that a guy with a "PhD" would have a touch more class! That's too bad you had to go off and rant and rave like you did......using vulgarity when not appropriate isn't cool. I didn't start off my post by cussing you out; shows your level of thinking. I was merely trying to make a statement from the original post, that which was blown completely out of proportion. Chyke, my remarks to you were NEVER intended to be taken as an insult, seems you took them that way. Anyhow, time to move on and try to be fast with class!

Later,

Chris,
What type of WOT timing was in the chip? Those are great numbers!!!

Indeed

Both the moderator and TurboV6Joe are correct. Perhaps I was having one of those weeks. There is never an excuse to utilize the language I had chosen to discuss/communicate any issue. For this I apologize, we all know there are squirrels on some of the boards. I have been at the motorsport thing for an extremely long time and do not consider my self to hold others in contempt or the like. Each is entitled to their perception and own reality. For me, combine a less than perfect week of cars, work and family crisis, and boom, everyone becomes the enemy. All of your points are well taken.
