You have to coat the center section or it will just rust also...

I thought about that John, and here is what I figured. 1: That is a cast iron center section. it is a massive heat sink. 2. Being cast once it gets hot it stays hot.3. There is no thermal barrier on the center section so that particular material ought to dissipate the heat even faster than the rate of the cast. 4. It does not affect Precisions warranty. 5. It looks cool.....

That must be a bb center, here is a journal center and my old 44!i ported the compressor housing and exhaust/wastegate hole!

Ronnie,

You keep following my project threads and you might get the hang of this powder coating thing

Well ive been powder coating everything under the hood for 2 years now!if it wasn't so expensive i'd be done already!!!have you done the stock exhaust manifolds yet?how do they hold up,and how expensive is it?

Oh here is couple more of the awesome machine work from precision!i am a cnc machinist, and these are truly awesome!

You can not powder the exhaust manifolds, down pipe,or turbo center or exhaust housing. You can get by with the cold side.

I was told by my powder coater you can,but its a bitch and if the stainless is crappy it will rust underneath!just thought you might have something better like jet coat or something.

I think what Ronnie is saying is that Powder won't take the exhaust manifold heat. Normal Powder is done at 500+ degrees. The exhaust is above that.

Changed colors back to blue...... The first looked toooo green.

Im wondering will the air cooled dbb bearings out live the journal bearings and if so how much a rebuild will cost on either or Ive been told that the dbb spoolup isnt significant enough to justify the $800 cost difference so im wondering what the difference in overall life is if any....im looking real hard at both tryin to decide which one to get..P.S. RMAR how much will you charge to do the turbo the same way but in red? Also how long does the process take like if i had a load goin that way and stopped by for the day with my turbo could you do it same day?

Cold side yes. If you have it apart.

Hot side and center probably not. Sorry. On a side note my production facility is officially closed pending sale.

I will still do little things as a hobby....... May have to take a break though.

He posted the info this weekend Bryan. It just isn't feasible for him to keep it up since there's no work out there right now. It sucks for sure.
