Hey all:
After puking a head gasket on my 87 WE4 car, I just ordered my new set of heads. This is my second set as I ran them on my last 87 GN. What do you think it can run with this set up.
PRES front mount
55 psi injectors
911 lock up converter
pt52 turbo
postons cam
alky injection
340 pump and fuel mods
stock posi rear
GN1 heads
aggressive tune 27 psi race gas 24 degress timing.
et streets.
:D

unless your done by this weekend I dought it will get any times till spring since most tracks close around here next week

you should keep in touch

there will be track rentals coming back around come spring time

:)

Hey Red:

We are going to Richmond drag way this Sunday to have some fun. Unless I jam Saturday, I dont think I will be running. A few of us from Carmax are going to get some base lines before the winter build up. Iam hoping Chris Jones will be bringing his 87 GN but I dont think he has kid coverage.
Im tagging along with my ZO6 buddy to help monitor the beer cooler! :D This will be for non drivers of course.:)

9x11 l/u?

Hope it's not the 3800 RPM version!

I should be going to watch my buddies 69 SS and another guy's 87 Monte SS with a SB 427 go run.

Hey Nearing;

I think its a 3200 to 3400 stall. It was in the car when I bought it.
Do these converters hold up?

Dave

been a trend of 9-11's not doing so well once the hp level goes up ...

my car got to where it was blowing thru the converter and just rpm'ing down the track unless locked up ... after sending it back tcs claimed the fins had folded over in the converter and they rebuilt it ..well I sold it once I got it back so I didnt get to try it again since I had no plans of putting a 2004R trans back in my car

now Nearing has one in his car ...( not my old one) and his car is blowing thru the converter real bad too

there seems to be others on here having the same problem too

maybe my ol lady will give me a kitchen pass to go watch ... probly be a good time to haul a car back to Richmond while Im going that way :)

They seem to have a better track record than the 3800's:(

I went to the 9/11 because i bent the fins over on my 5 disk precision converter. So now the 3400 can bend the fins also? My 9/11 is lost in space somewhere and is not back here after sending it back 1 month ago, whose converter will not fold over the fins?

Maybe a 9/11 converter post should go in the transmission section ?? I thought these were suppose to be one of the better converters
