So that makes two black FI cars now. I guess I am a sucker for punishment having black cars. As a wise man once said "Black is NOT a color, its a commitment!"

Anyways, I picked up a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Special Edition. Its fully loaded and the only thing I could find that could possibly use replacement is the little wind guard rubber strips at the top of the door.

I am very happy with this car and will leave it stock. Seeing as how the Grand National saps the wallet faster than a gold digging woman I am happy with the stock performance of the GTP. If I need to go fast, I will just get in my GN.

You will have lotsa fun with it. I had a 98 and regret getting id of it every day!

I am already having lots of fun with it, I cant wait for the ice to melt so I can wash it up and take it out for a nice cruise.

On a side note, I now have a complaint about the car. the OnStar system is analog, I signed up for the service but the guy said as of December 31 2007 I will no longer be able to use the service. I asked if I could upgrade to a digital card and he says its not possible. I am going to go to the closest GM dealership to me and see about hacking in a digital replacement. I dont think it should be that hard since the wiring should still support it but who knows. I love the fact that it can track my vehicle if stolen, I told them when they release a legacy system that can be installed in any GM car they will make a killing off the GN guys alone. We dont have Lojack here so I would be very happy to have OnStar on my GN if I could.

We just got notified by ONSTAR about this change. There is a $300 kit you need to purchase and have installed, then all will be good to go. Your local dealer will know what to do. Good luck and nice car.

Thank you! I am stopping by my insurance agent today and there is a Buick/Pontiac?GMC dealer right down the road. I will stop in there and see what they can do for me.

I still havent gone to the dealer yet but I did contact OnStar again and they are still saying my car was built with analog everything and an upgrade is not possible.

If the dealer says the same thing I will be looking for a digital OnStar box and wiring harness. They said I could go ahead and do it and I guess I would end up being a test mule for GM if it works. All I have to say to that is if it does work I want free service and a new steering wheel since I will have to blow my airbag to test the accident stuff.
