I have one of these kits and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the results in a "CZ" (monte SS) transmission?

I also noticed that the 1-2 accumulator spring included with the kit seems "softer" than the stock spring. I was thinking that I should probably make all the mods to get their "designed" result of the kit, but I want to make sure I'm not just "downgrading" things in the end.

I've seen some talk of superior kits, but I don't think anything addressed the HP version of the kit in particular.

Thanks for any info,

Darrell

I use the regular Superior kit. Over the years I've developed my own sort of kit. I use some of the springs and steps from the Superior kit and instructions, skip other steps and add my own components and steps.

The HP kit is good for a mild street performance upgrade. I would use the stiffer 1-2 accumulator spring of the two.

You'll need more of a kit if this is a max street killer application.

The "Line Bias" Spring included with the 200-4r-HP kit seems a lot different that the stock...

Original Spring: .275" OD, 1.4" Long
Superior 200-4r HP Kit (green spring): 0.231" OD, 1.1" Long (much stiffer)

Does this sound right and should it replace the existing (as per instructions) or be located inside the original (not easy, but could be threaded together)?

I saw a post that mentioned an "Internal" line bias spring associated some superior kit, but no specifics.

I think it's suppose to replace the original line bias spring.

I thought the wrong spring might have had something to do with some trans issues I was having, but turned out to be a band that was adjusted whaaaay to tight.

So I agree the directions (replace stock spring) and spring with different dimensions are probably what was intended by superior.

I dont use a line bias spring,I use an aluminum spacer and block it altogether and us the original line bias spring in the accumulator valve.
That with a heavy 1-2 acc spring and a few plate mods will
shift better than anything ive used

The vb accumulator spring is a critical mod for any high hp application.

there still is a problem engineered into the valve body in the form of a 3/2 control valve, and 2 check ball orifices in the circuit .3 holes is all that is needed between oil exiting the 2/3 shift valve to feed band knock off and the direct clutch, not the 6 they put in.
