Thats just mean lol give the new guy a break lol :D !!!!
Horndog a few things i have learned... theres only a few guys you can order parts from halfway reliably when dealing with these cars.....Kirban is one of them... Dont ever ever ever get butt hurt on Turbobuick.com..... Its like a big family here and well ...... youll figure it out.... Places like summit could give two shits about any tech/part issue you have unless ur working on a mustang....If you dont know EXACTLY what you want part number and all ur screwed ordering from there....When ordering anything from anywhere not just cars in life period always expect people to be quick to take your loot and slow to give up what you ordered.. I always wait a week before i even think about complaining...This seems get worse as time goes on....and if you find someone with good service stick with them.......

I think Summit is pretty awesome and have pretty knowledgeable staff. Ship quick, good prices, and can always talk to a clear english speaking person in seconds. Other than that I agree with pretty much everything.

No single person in the Turbo Buick community has done more for us than Dennis has.

I had to wait 3 months from a part from Ferrari due to the factory had to custom make it, but they communicated it and updated me on the status the whole process.

With the kind of money you send on Ferrari, they can afford a bigger staff and cater to every individual.

Sorry, I mis-read your comment on my phone...

That is an excuse, and all I did was lay out the facts.
Pete and I will hash out our differences tomorrow.

Sorry, I mis-spoke and apologize to VaderGN. I will speak with Pete tomorrow.

Again, I did not once make any personal attacks or attack their reputation as a vendor but their process.

I work for Ferrari. On the racing end, but Ferrari none the less. I was also the service manager for a good sized dealer.

So I guess I'll make a point to that last statement. Whether you spend a dollar or a couple thousand, yes contact should be maintained. I think contact has been made here by phoff in order to satisfy your request. Take it or leave it. Don't expect Dennis to come here and defend himself. He has perfectly capable staff to handle it. It would be better to use the word "vent" rather than "bash" in this thread. I have been dealing with Kirban Performance since the newsletters as well. They are why these cars still have an active history and continue to make history.

Again thank you for your opinion and please keep it to yourself.

I have to admit that during last years pre Christmas sale my order from Kirban took over 3 weeks. I had lots of email interaction with him before my order about some of the products, salvage yard shopping and talked military since I was in Afghanistan and he is a Vietnam Vet (Welcome home Dennis). It never bothered me it took longer because of the quality of service, products and the reputation I was dealing with.

So now we are editing posts..... hmmmm. This guy really wants help from the vendor.

Oh and OP, its probably better you sell the car. At least the car may go to someone who as a bit more of an understanding nature and is not in a goddam rush for parts.

What is your damn rush to begin with?!

ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS, when you order from whatever website, you usually have to wait an extra day on top of the shipping due to processing the order. YOU AREN'T THE ONLY ONE ORDERING FROM THEM.
HE'S NOT A HUGE BUSINESS LIKE FERRARI OR BUICK MOTOR DIVISION OR SUMMITRACING.COM. Get that through your head. Almost every member here orders there for some odds and ends.

Excuse Dennis that you weren't put on a pedestal with communication. Next time, if you need an item quicker, TELL THEM.

As a future piece of information, be a little more patient and expect one day for processing and then add the shipping time. Cheers.

I still do not understand why there is a complaint about customer service and or communication when you received the part in 4 business days.
It appears to be a reasonable time with any item shipped. That’s why I think you are over reacting.

Did you receive your part in 4 business days as Pete stated?

If so, you are over reacting.

D

I tried to be unbiassed but I think I’ve read enough to understand what is going on.

And now, a preview of the Pete/Horndog conversation.

Pete - “hello this is Pete from Kirbans, how can I help you?"
Horndog - “I have a problem with your companies communication skills."
Pete. - “what seems to be the problem?"
Horndog - “I received my part one day later than I could possibly have received it and no one cared to contact me about the delay"
Pete - “I am truly sorry for your inconvenience. If you ever need anything else contact me directly and I will get it out a day sooner"
Horndog - “I own a Ferrari”
Pete - “Very nice. Congratulations"

D

Lol Lol Evil stop your killing me! :p
