I'm thinking about building my motor with Wiseco pistons, Champion Irons, still deciding on a cam (flat tappet) and still using my TE-44. I'm wondering how others like going to a 9.0:1 compression ratio. My car will be built mainly for the street.

I'm on my 3rd year with my wisecos. They still look good and I've had a lot of banging and popping in the past.

What's your combo and have you noticed any benedit to going 9:1 vs 8:1 compression ratio?

I'm at about 9:1. Never did all the math to figure the exact number out.

Combo is Eagle crank, K1 rods, Wiseco pistons, stock stroke. Best et 9.67 @ 142. Probably over 500 passes in 3 years (mostly low high 9's and a few low 10's.)
