I went with SkyGuard on my car.

I can set the speed alert to let me know immediately if the car is being driven faster than I want it to be (good for those trips to the mechanic shop ;) ). Also, you can look at historical data such as routes the car was taken, and on what date & time. Also, you can enable / disable the starter from your PC. You can also lock / unlock the doors. I've only been playing with this thing for a few minutes tonight, but from what I can tell so far, it's VERY cool.

www.skyguard.com has some good info.

Cool! Keep us posted on how you like it. ;)

Do either the Skyguard or the MobileGuardian have monthly fees and if so how much? What all does the Skyguard do? their website is kinda limited as to the info.

I really like it. I am probably going to put it on my Jeep, too.

Skyguard has a monthly fee or an annual fee. I don't remember pricing off hand. I did an annual along with the device itself as well as a bunch of other stuff. But I am thinking around $12 a month???

So far, what I have done with the Skyguard:...
I can enable or disable the starter.

I can set my "home zone". If the car travels outside of the area I set, I will get an e-mail. I can also opt to have a text sent to my cell phone.

I have a MPH setting. It's at 90 MPH now I think. If the car exceeds that speed, I am alerted. This is good for anyone who might take their car anywhere and leave it. You can set the speed to whatever you want.

I can pull up the actual location of the car at any time.

I can review past routes the car has taken with details such as speed on roads, turns taken, duration of route.

I have the ignition alert set to e-mail me any time the car is started and turned off. The email lets me know the location of each.

If the power supply to the unit gets low, I get an alert.

Overall, I love this thing. Much more effective than LoJack IMO.

**EDIT**

Here is a screen cap of the Activetrack historical route overview.

Sounds very kool. Might have to look into that. How much is the yearly fee? I also agree that LoJack is useless:rolleyes:
