A while back I posted about career change and what would be a good change and etc.....

I worked on a union job that worked double shifts 6 days religiously and basically walked away and have not been working for 4 months and climbing.

My question is about trade college are there any thats good I thinkin about HVAC and contacted TCI college and wondered if this place was any good or which ones are worthwhile to check out in the area....Im 33 and climbing and always wanted to learn this trade and now have the chance

Please give any and all advice it would be greatly appreciated!

Have you looked into Apex Technical in Manhattan? I went through their automotive program and was able to get into the Mercedes Benz ELITE Program through them. If I remember correctly, they also offered Welding and HVAC, but I could be wrong.

Check on line at: PANYNJ.gov for available jobs and training- great career jobs and union apprentice training available- im a HVAC Watch Engineer at JFK Airport with all my certifications and licenses- Matt- 347-680-8642. This is the Port Authority of NY and NJ.

A friend of mine went from working in a machiene shop to doing HVAC with no experience , 5 Years later and he's the crew manager for the same company, My point is that even without experience you can get a job doing that and work your way up as long as you show interest in learning and progressing in the field.

TCI is a waste of time and money. you will learn more faster and cheaper on the job with a good attitude and desire to learn.
