87 ignitinion swap 87 cranksensor swap 35lbs at fuel rail crank the car and boom! interrupter ring was bent a little straightened not perfect. But seems as if it clears sensor cam sensor turns but not sure it's right never touched since .car quit running never ran with new ignition. found. The plug was bad on module so I soldered directly to caspers plug n play crank car a little nothing. Maybe a slight fire. Crank again and boom! So I'm checking connectors and notice there's two relays on passengers side fender one the plug is melted the one towards the front of car hmm does this relay work the pump I unplug it and the pump still works does not prime though any inpu
t?

35 PSI is low, but it “should” start.
Is the backfire through the exh or intake?


The fuel pump on a stock set-up is also powered through the oil pressure switch, after 5 psi oil pressure.
If the pump runs without cranking, than someone hotwired it.
Is there a wire connected to the single GREY connector behind the coil pack?

How did you connect the 87 crank sensor to the main harness?
Is the interrupter ring in the cam sensor tight and cam sensor correctly timed?
 
Used campers plug went through no start test and everything. checks out OK. INTERRUPTER. Ring was bent from. Old crank sensor came loose put In 87 crank sensor and checked gap one spot was kind of close. But test confirm. It's good took new module. To have testested and its good swapped new coil with another new coil B.w.d. fuel pump primes and works crank engine multiple times and banI mean loud out of the exhaust will only do this occasionally otherwise nothing im stumped check every plug no spark i do remember pulling cam sensor cap off and cranking engine to see if its turning and it was and havent touched it since could this be the problem?

Verify the wires of the crank sensor the the attached picture.

Do you have the new crank sensor in the correct groove
Good point! :)
Also . . . . I "think" the wires for the crank sensor are reversed on the HA vs the IC. Have not verified that.
 
OK c wire is going. Blk to blk to g. B wire .is grey to green. To e A is green to grey/red together.
 
OK guess I'm throwing. This. Plug In. The garbage and responding why won't anyone just make the original coil and module rrrr
 
OK this. Auto editing. Thing keeps. goofing up what. I type I'm going back to the drawing board I pulled module connect out and probed pink wires and no voltage ignition switch working intermittently? Gotta figure out how to test that
 
OK my stock plug was In bad shape so I soldered directly to campers plug following the sticky instructions on here double checked them found I did have 12v on pink wires just didn't ground volt meter correctly still no spark maybe crank sensor is still rubbing out

Do you have a scantool? What chip?
 
No scan tool stock chip stock everything. Except the up pipe and ign .does the hotwire kit bypass the harness can I
make this thing spark maybe I need to run dial indicator on crank or try a different module

Also try a different crank sensor. If there was ANY contact with the ring, it may be damaged.
