It is located in Southern California. Looking to get 700 plus the ride for it . Here are some pics shoot me a message if interested

Sorry to say but I have a 85 GN sitting here with the original engine in it and it has a 20 bolt pan. Yes there were hot air engines in 85 with a 20 bolt oil pan.

140 blocks is the last 3 digits.. taller deck height came with 2 dot rods crap pistons and only mains fillet journals . I have one of those and use 86-87 turbos parts. U got to use stage 2 head BOLTS for the block not studs won't work. Inless u machine the deck for them

Sorry but ALL turbo engines 84 to 87 whether it be a 140 or a 109 have the same rolled fillet cranks. Even the early 4.1's like in 81 - 83 caddys had the full rolled fillet cranks. I built a 20 bolt 140 block into a 109 by milling 32ths. off the deck . This is it.

Okay well you learn something everyday I suppose . I also have a pretty nice 4.1 block that has all the same features as 293 block but is a 044 block if anyone is interested

Wow! This thread is chock full of good information, as I always thought the 4.1 cranks were different? NOT DOUBTING YOU AT ALL MIND YOU!! So, is that all it takes to convert a 140 to 109, just shaving the deck slightly?
