tonight i swapped over to a manual system, i can only say wow. best pedal ive had in years. soft at the top like vacuum, firms nicely as needed. heres what i used
Had vacuum conversion, but a bad booster. took it out, took stock vacuum pedal assembly and ground off back of pin. drove out pin and welded into the upper hole on vacuum pedal assembly
Took bad vac. booster, pounded on the back with a pointed hammer until the pushrod came out. cut the steel valve/piston deal off of it, now i have a perfect length pushrod with round end and everything.
Take stock powermaster plate, grind out hole slightly for master cyl fitment, install stock PM rubber boot to hold pushrod in place.
assemble stock PM firewall plate and modified vacuum pedal assembly.
Install 84 S-10 manual master cyl after bench bleeding.
bleed brakes
enjoy a perfectly proportioned pedal with good manners
this was done with all stock disks/drums as well. what you need to know? comments?
