Hate is such a strong word, you could of said you disliked it . Now if we are talking about Livz4blownmotors then that word would be appropriate . And send me a message when you cut and burn that "stuff" in the mid-west, I just want to make sure the fire stays contained and doesnt spread .

no not at all but i'm also not gonna say drug use and drug selling is as harsh as speeding. Ask anyone thou, i'm the first one to man up and pay a ticket. I know speeding is wrong as are other moving violations and if i get caught i have no one to blame but me. Speeding when no one is around only puts urself at risk.. Drug use even if no one is around still contributes to the drug trade which is killing people every second across america.

if illegal is illegal then everything should carry the same punishment...people would be getting the chair for blowing a stop sign or you'd get a $109.00 citation for killing ur neighbor. so YES it does matter how big or small it is.

as long as americans are worried about things a frivilous as legalized weed...asia will continue to pass us up in business and the classrooms. I see a lot of selfish people in this thread... think about if u want ur kids doing drugs? Its not hard to get weed now...but imagine if its that much easier. Teach them its ok to deal with stress by taking a pill, having a drink, havin a smoke.. instead of being strong willed, diciplined..etc..

so when did parenting become the issue? So pot gets legal, i guess i would rather have to tell my child not to buy this and not to smoke it just like cigs. parenting is Parenting. Just because pot gets the green light doesnt mean you shouldnt be telling your kids about it anyway. I for one think that they should legalize it and tax it. i dont know what places some of you live in but officers in pittsburgh are not hunting down people with misdomenaer abouts of weed.. finding weed during traffic stops happend often but i dont think its their intention.. sometimes bustin the guy with a 20 sacks helps get the guy selling pounds. I HATE the argument "dont cops have anything better to do?" not every officer is assigned to catching murderers. Someone has to do traffic detail. You can't let little infractions slide just beacuse they arent felonies.

Have you ever thought about the simple fact that becuase something is illegal, it seems cooler to do it when your a teenager? You dont hear rap songs talking about smoking cigarettes and how they got away with it. It' not cool to rap about becuase it's legal. Not as much hipe. When I was a teen, I thought it was cool so I tride it. Parenting takes effect with any situation involved regardless.

Make it legal and save a ton of problems. Make money for schools, roads, create jobs with the money spent, it could be a great profit for this country.

Well you can make your own beer if you want to its not that hard nor is it illegal as long as it is for your consumption and you dont make a profit. Same thing goes for growing your own crop of tobacco or making your own whisky. As long as it is for you and you are the one consuming it and you dont make too much of it then you are good to go. So whats wrong with the average joe having a plant or to in the basement green house? I think that the Gov. should legalize it put a 50% tax on it and use the profits for the National debt or education or something this country needs. I did smoke alot in high school but i have not touched it in 11 years.

Tabacco and weapons are highly regulated so should the drug trade be as well? Try buying some burly to grow and see how far you get. It's so regulated that if you seem to grow more than you're alloted then you have to destroy it under supervisoin.

Again, devil's advocate....What keeps those nurses, doctors, firemen and officers from lighting up? The same thing that keeps those people from taking a shot of alcohol instead of coffee on a coffee break. Just because you legalize pot, doesn't mean you are giving license to freely use it at the workplace. Most don't freely use alcohol at the workplace, nor would they pot. And likely both would be against company policies.

If the government legalized it then the companies that po-pod it couldn't say anything but I'd be insurance would skyrocket.

Well, P*t has been around for probably a good 2000 years, you read about in the bible, and the aztecs found it useful in healing and in prayer. And until this century, I have never read or learned, or heard of anybody dying from its use, other than from the "drug War" that OUR goverment created.

Now, Im not an advocate of its use, I dont reccomend it, and dont use it myself* and sure as hell dont want my kids to use either, until there 21 and are an adult and can make life decisions for themselfs. if they choose to use, Thats fine... but I would hope that they can make an educated choice, and atleast have the freedom too.

And thats my point, All I want is the freedom to make that decision myself. I dont need to be protected - I am an american, and want my freedom as i was promised. not as the "Goverment" sees fit for me.

The legalization of P*t is not entirely about the use of the substance, its more so the movement behind it. its showing that the people want choice, even if the answer is wrong. being able to choose your own destiny and life is something that everyone wants right? Dont you want to choose what you may smoke or drink? or do you trust your "Goverment" that much?
legaliztion of many things has become more common, just watch the news, particularly in this economy - where you can no longer buy happiness as easy as years past, having the simple freedoms in life that we use to, could change an entire country.

and yes, I agree... P*t is not a good thing, and bad things do happen from its use. But so does alcohol, ciggarettes, perscription drugs, and spray paint can you just finished bombing your engine with.

If your that stupid, to let anything control you and your life that much. we obviously didnt need your genes in the pool. and the world may be better off.

The only people the law prevents from using Marijuana...are the people who follow the law...usually from fear of a drug tests at work.

My point is this...current laws criminalize some of the most upstanding members of our society. I have a freind that did 10 years...day for day...for an amount of Marijuana, that in Texas, would have been a misdedmeanor. But you can get out in 5-7 after molesting a child.

As far as 'gateway drug' BS goes...I can sing the same song about alcohol...it boils down to personal choices. A crackhead is gonna be a crackhead. Moderation....Moderation....

Would there be more crime or less crime...if alcohol was made illegal again? History has already proven this one to us....It's a no-brainer.
