whats up guys i was wondering what is everyones takes on the power potential of a dual ball bearing INNOVATIVE 70 q trim turbo. i have been 9.9's on 30psi with this turbo on stock ported heads. over the winter i am planning on upgrading the heads to some nice aluminum ones and was wondering if this turbo will be able to keep up or would i be better off with something bigger in the dual ball bearing area? im extremely happy with this turbo but want to step it up even more so and just want to know which way to go. all inputs from the big dogs would be appreciated, thanks

Alot more than most guys engines are capable of handling. They are single BB by the way. Only BB on the compressor side. I went 114mph eighth and rolled to a 10.52@137 backing out at the 1200ft with a 66 3 bolt. 1.96 60'. You will encounter back pressure problems way way before you run out of compressor. You will need a boost controller with CO2 like an AMS to hold the gate shut for high boost. I could only get about 26psi out of mine and it tapered down over 6000rpm in 3rd. Champion race ported GN1's and 218/224 hyd cam. More times to come soon with the 66 and i have a 70 to try after that. My charge air temp with alky injection was only 11* over ambient at the top of 3rd with the 66. You will need a top of the line converter if you want to maximize the performance. If you want to step it up you would be wise to spend the $ on converter and get a 4 bolt tangential setup if you dont have one already. You will see a definite gain with those mods. Monitor inlet air temps and backpressure and you will see where the potential really is.

just realized i made a misprint while i wrote this. i meant to say innovative dual ball bearing.

Mine was done at 144 mph. This was at about 27 psi, anything more just raised IAT with no gain. But a good turbo. And spools fast.

I have one for sale if anyone is interested BTW. :D

discostu what was the rest of your combo to go along with this turbo?

TA heads, 224/224 solid, stock stroke, 3" DP, KB headers, and the other usual stuff.
